This month's Workshop Topics: Information: Understanding the Nashville Number System Application: What's Your Dream and Pursuing It Participation: Listening to Your Songs INFORMATION: Years of studio work and playing for different people were only possible because I understood the Nashville Number System. I have found it has helped my songwriting immensely!! I will be showing you an easy way to understand the NNS! It's just another tool in the songwriting toolbox that can help you be creative when your instrument isn't around. This will be an opportunity for class participation, so it will be fun! APPLICATION: Dreams are what keep people going. They give hope and help us find our purpose. What is your dream for your songwriting? If you could do anything with your songwriting, what would it be? Songwriting is tough. There are times when there is more rejection than acceptance. But the dream keeps the pen and pencil moving on paper to become a better songwriter. Dreams aren't the same as goals. PARTICIPATION: If you plan on singing a song for evaluation, please bring at least 18-20 copies of your lyric sheet. We have been growing, so more copies are needed. Not a member? Come and check it out!!
I get the privilege of hearing the stories of brave USA military veterans and putting those stories into a song!
